This session titled, 'New technology in diabetes care' is a clinical session that is designed to provide an opportunity for clinicians and diabetes educators to understand the application of advanced glucose monitoring systems in clinical setting for diabetes care and education. In this session, presenters will announce their experiences of applying new technologies to diabetes management in the United States and Korea. They will present examples of the application of diabetes' integrated management system in China and the effects of telemedicine applied to diabetes management and education. This session will be a chance to share the experience using advanced technologies in diabetes care for clinicians and diabetes educators.

This session titled, 'What to be prepared in future diabetes care' is a clinical session that is designed to provide an opportunity for clinicians and diabetes educators to understand the patient-centered care and up-to-date digital technologies in diabetes care and education. In this session, the patient-centered care, which is emphasized in updated clinical practice recommendations, peer-support in vulnerable patients, and recent advances and practical experiences in the digital diabetes care and education will be presented and discussed. This session will provide a better understanding of the latest care and education for patients with diabetes.

This session titled, Decreasing risks with food, is a clinical session that is designed to provide a place for dietitians, clinicians and other diabetes educators to understand how diet is linked to cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Latest results of Diabetes Remission Clinical Trial (DiRECT) which was designed to assess whether intensive weight management within routine primary care would achieve remission of type 2 diabetes will be presented. Furthermore, effective dietary patterns for prevention of diabetes and cardiovascular disease will be introduced in this session. This session will suggest the right ways to decrease a risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease with food.
